# Palm Day

> Palm Day (palmday.in, Telugu: పామ్ డే) is a free AI copilot for oil palm farmers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It gives harvest-round reminders, the monthly fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price, village weather, fertiliser and irrigation plans by palm age, cost and profit tracking, and answers in Telugu or English by voice or photo. All advice comes from published sources (ICAR-IIOPR, TNAU, NABARD, APOILFED, Telangana Oilfed).

## Key facts
- Current FFB price, Andhra Pradesh: ₹24,010 per tonne for 2026-08 deliveries. Telangana: ₹24,025 per tonne for 2026-08 deliveries. Prices are for the delivery month and are announced in the first week of the next month.
- Harvest oil palm every 10–15 days; cut a bunch when a few loose fruits have fallen (ICAR-IIOPR).
- Adult palm fertiliser, per palm per application, 4 times a year: 650 g urea, 940 g SSP, 500 g MOP (1200:600:1200 g N:P2O5:K2O a year). Magnesium sulphate 250 g and borax 50 g in Feb, Mar and Aug (ICAR-IIOPR).
- Adult palm water need: 150–180 L/day in January up to 260–300 L/day in May (ICAR-IIOPR Crop Calendar 2026).
- Typical costs: upkeep ₹20,677 per acre a year (NABARD 2025-26), harvesting ₹501 per tonne (ICAR-IIOPR 2024), transport ₹915 per acre a year (AP survey 2021).
- Oil palm starts bearing about 3 years after planting; a mature acre in AP yields about 8 tonnes of FFB a year.
